On May 20, experts from the National Contact Point will be available in Wroclaw at the 4th Climate Change Adaptation Mission Forum. The event is part of the official calendar of the Polish Presidency of the EU Council. It is organized by the European Commission, the Ministry of Climate and Environment, and the Wroclaw University of Science and Technology. Dr. Magdalena Głogowska, expert from the National Contact Point for the Horizon 5 Europe cluster and the Climate Change Adaptation Mission, is involved in the Steering Committee of this event, which is responsible for the substantive program of the Forum.
In addition, Aneta Maszewska, also NCP for cluster 5 HE, together with experts from LIFE and URBACT programs, will be on duty at the expert stand to provide Forum participants with information on financing opportunities for innovative projects in the area of adaptation to climate change. She will also be accompanied by experts from HPK Polska Południowa-Zachodnia. 4th Forum of stakeholders of the Adaptation to Climate Change Mission During the meeting at the Wrocław University of Science and Technology, best practices and successes of local governments and projects implemented as part of the EU Mission – Adaptation to Climate Change will be presented. This year’s edition will focus on discussing the activities and experiences of participants in this Mission (one of five EU Missions implemented in the current EU financial perspective, including through the Horizon Europe program), presenting practical and inspiring examples of innovative adaptation solutions implemented by regions, cities and local authorities in response to the growing climate challenges in Europe. On the eve of the Forum (19th May), participants will have the opportunity to take part in climate workshops and visit locations in Wroclaw where pioneering adaptation projects are being implemented, which are an example of an advanced approach to the changing climate reality.
