Declaration of accessibility of the kpk.gov.pl website

The National Centre for Research and Development (NCBR), of which the National Contact Point for Horizon Europe Programme (NCP) is a part, ensures the accessibility of the website in accordance with the Act of April 4, 2019 on digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public entities. The accessibility statement applies to the website www.kpk.gov.pl

Date of last major update: 2021/01/04.

The website is partially compliant with the Act on digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public entities due to the incompatibilities or exclusions listed below.

  1. There may be situations that, despite the efforts of the website’s editors, certain documents published on the website are not accessible due to the fact that they:
    • come from various sources,
    • were published on the basis of principles adopted in another institution,
    • were published before the Digital Accessibility Act came into force.
  2. Some content was published on a website with graphics that contain text, due to the fact that the content in the graphics was necessary for the effective communication of a given issue;
  3. Some films posted on the website may not have subtitles or other required elements due to the fact that they were published before the entry into force of the Digital Accessibility Act. Subtitles for these films are successively added;

The statement was prepared on May 10, 2021. The declaration was prepared on the basis of a self-assessment carried out by the public entity.

In the same way, you can submit applications for access to unavailable information and submit complaints about the lack of accessibility.

Everyone has the right to request digital accessibility of a website, mobile application or any of their elements. You can also request information to be made available in alternative forms, for example reading a document that is not digitally available, describing the content of a film without audio description, etc. The request should include the name and surname of the person making the request, which website or mobile application it is about, and how to contact them. If the requesting person needs to receive information in an alternative form, he or she should also specify the form of this information.

The public entity should fulfill the request immediately and no later than within 7 days. If it is not possible to meet this deadline, public entity shall immediately inform about when it will be possible to fulfill the request, but this deadline cannot be longer than 2 months. If it is not possible to ensure accessibility, the public entity may propose an alternative way of accessing the information.

If an entity refuses to comply with a request to ensure availability or alternative access to information, a complaint may be filed against such action.

After exhausting all possibilities, complaint can also be sent to the Ombudsman.

 

Architectural accessibility

The National Centre for Research and Development, ul. Chmielna 69, 00-801, Warsaw.

The headquarters of the National Center for Research and Development is located in the Varso Tower office building at 69 Chmielna Street. The main entrance is from al. Jana Pawła II, the additional entrance is located from Chmielna Street.

There are parking spaces in front of the building on Chmielna Street, in the paid parking zone. There are 2 marked parking spaces for people with disabilities in the immediate vicinity of the entrance to the building. The main entrance consists of a revolving door and an additional hinged door. On the side of the entrance to the swing door there is an intercom that allows communication with the building’s security, which helps with access to the main hall.

The entrance to the building is on the same level as the sidewalk and does not require the use of stairs or a driveway. The reception desk is located in the main hall of the building. The NCBR information point is located on the third floor and requires the use of an elevator.

In the main hall, in addition to the reception desk, there is access to six passenger elevators limited by gates. An access card is required to enter the gates and use the elevator and it can be obtained from the reception desk.

The building is subject to access control using access cards.

The NCBR reception desk is located on the third floor, in the immediate vicinity of the elevator hall.

You can enter the building with an assistance dog and a guide dog.

There are no Braille signs in the building, no contrast markings or large print markings for the people with visual impairment.

On the third floor, in front of the entrance to the NCBR reception desk, there is information for people with disabilities in large print.

At the reception desk and in any other place you can use an online Polish Sign Language interpreter (PJM) – the service is free of charge, however the wish to use it requires prior notification.

In addition, we kindly inform you that the National Centre for Research and Development, in order to enable contact with people experiencing permanent or temporary communication difficulties, provides access to interpreter services:

  • PJM (Polish Sign Language),
  • SJM (Sign Language System),
  • SKOGN (Method of communication among deaf-blind people),

to use the interpreter service (PJM, SJM, SKOGN), the authorized person* should report their willingness to use this service at least 3 business days before the planned visit.
