We invite you to Warsaw for one of the key events of the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union: the EU Innovation Journey’25 Conference, scheduled for May 12-13, 2025. In agreement with the European Commission, the event’s organiser is the National Contact Point Department at the National Centre for Research and Development (NCBR).
The participants will include many distinguished guests, such as representatives of the European Commission, the European Parliament, the European Innovation Council (EIC), the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) as well as representatives of Polish governmental institutions, including the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology, and the Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy.
“The EU Innovation Journey’25 is an international conference that will bring together deep-tech leaders, decision-makers, and key players in the innovation ecosystem. This event should be mandatory for anyone interested in the future of European innovation policy,” says the NCBR Director Prof. Jerzy Małachowski.
One of the goals of this conference is to create a space for debate on the role of key players, including technology transfer offices, academia, investors and policymakers, in developing coherent support for innovation in Widening countries (mainly Central and Eastern European countries). Another objective of this event will be an attempt at analysing challenges and opportunities in overcoming the innovation gap between different parts of Europe. The conclusions of the experts’ discussions and reflections will be published in a report summarising the event.
The EU Innovation Journey’25 conference will be divided into three main thematic tracks: the first, called the Main Stage, includes a plenary session with key panel discussions. The second track, the Opportunities and Potential Stage, will present the groundbreaking projects financed by EU and national funds and will feature a startup pitching session and a demonstration of best practices in deep-tech commercialization. The final track, the Challenge Stage, will host discussions on the challenges facing countries of the Central and Eastern European regions. Exhibition and networking space will be available during the conference. In addition, there will also be side meetings, including #EUInnovateTogether and a presentation of the new Pre-Accelerator instrument.
