Photonics Meets Quantum – networking event

Polish NCBR Office in Brussels in cooperation with the National Contact Point for EU Research Programmes in NCBR and Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Brussels, have the pleasure of inviting you to participate in a networking event organised on Photonics & Quantum.

The event Photonics Meets Quantum will take place on Wednesday 10th of June 2026 from 17h00 to 20h30 at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Brussels, Avenue des Gaulois 29, 1040 Etterbeek.

It will be the networking meeting dedicated to quantum technologies and their synergies with photonics, set against the backdrop of key EU initiatives such as the Quantum Flagship, the forthcoming European Quantum Act, Photonics21 and the EU Chips Act.

The meeting will gather policymakers, research leaders, and industry representatives to discuss strategic alignment, cooperation opportunities, and pathways from research to industrial deployment.

Concept: Quantum technologies, rooted in Europe’s photonics strength, offer a strategic opportunity for the EU to shape global competitiveness and reduce strategic dependencies. With strong scientific leadership but rising global competition, Europe faces a narrow window to scale from research excellence to industrial capacity. The Quantum Europe Strategy and upcoming Quantum Act aim to secure this transition, with photonic components as critical enablers of future leadership.
