Europejska Rada ds. Badań Naukowych (ERC) oraz Narodowe Centrum Badań i Rozwoju (NCBR) są partnerami tegorocznej edycji Copernicus Festival. Krajowy Punkt Kontaktowy w NCBR zaprasza na specjalne sesje o grantach ERC.
ERC oraz NCBR są partnerami tegorocznej edycji Copernicus Festival – jednego z największych wydarzeń popularyzujących naukę w Polsce, które odbędzie się w dniach 19–24 maja w Muzeum Inżynierii i Techniki w Krakowie (ul. Wawrzyńca 15).
Na głównej scenie festiwalu przez cały tydzień obecni będą laureaci grantów ERC oraz przedstawiciel Rady Naukowej ERC. Wśród zaproszonych gości znajdą się m.in. prof. Anil Seth, prof. Hiranya Peiris, prof. Magdalena Götz, prof. Ewa Paluch, prof. Leszek Kaczmarek, prof. Piotr Sankowski, prof. Justyna Olko oraz prof. Andrzej Udalski.
Dodatkowo, w dniach 19–20 maja, Krajowy Punkt Kontaktowy w NCBR zaprasza na specjalne sesje poświęcone grantom ERC. Z kolei 21 maja Narodowe Centrum Badań i Rozwoju zaprasza na sesje poświęcone programom i inicjatywom NCBR.
19 maja program będzie koncentrować się wokół tematu Science and Groundbreaking Research. Zaplanowano dyskusję z udziałem przedstawiciela Rady Naukowej ERC, redaktora Nature oraz laureatów ERC, co zapowiada wyjątkową rozmowę o tym, czym naprawdę są badania przełomowe. Tego dnia odbędą się także wystąpienia ekspertów pokazujące, jak budować projekt ERC wokół mocnego, ambitnego i oryginalnego pytania badawczego.
20 maja zapraszamy na dzień Career Paths, poświęcony różnym drogom prowadzącym do ERC. Uczestnicy będą mogli wysłuchać historii laureatów i ekspertów oraz wziąć udział w dyskusji dotyczącej roli dorobku naukowego i ścieżki kariery w ocenie wniosków ERC. Na zakończenie odbędzie się również sesja poświęcona programowi LIDER UP jako szansie na rozwój kompetencji młodych naukowców.
21 maja zapraszamy na program organizowany przez NCBR. W jego ramach odbędzie się panel „Młodzi liderzy polskiej nauki” poświęcony programowi LIDER, prezentacja „Uczenie się przez całe życie” na temat możliwości wsparcia uczelni z Funduszy Europejskich oraz panel „Drop-out studentów – jak ich zatrzymać?”, dotyczący wyzwań związanych z porzucaniem studiów. Będzie to okazja do rozmowy o rozwoju młodych naukowców, ofercie wsparcia dla uczelni oraz działaniach, które mogą pomóc zatrzymać studentów w systemie szkolnictwa wyższego.
Udział w sesjach ERC i NCBR jest otwarty dla wszystkich zainteresowanych i nie wymaga wcześniejszej rejestracji.
The European Research Council (ERC) and the National Centre for Research and Development (NCBR) are partners of this year’s edition of the Copernicus Festival. The National Contact Point at NCBR invites participants to special sessions dedicated to ERC grants.
The ERC and NCBR are partners of this year’s edition of the Copernicus Festival – one of the largest science event in Poland, which will take place on 19–24 May at the Museum of Engineering and Technology in Kraków (ul. Wawrzyńca 15).
Throughout the festival week, the main stage will host ERC grantees and a representative of the ERC Scientific Council. Invited guests will include, among others, Prof. Anil Seth, Prof. Hiranya Peiris, Prof. Magdalena Götz, Prof. Ewa Paluch, Prof. Leszek Kaczmarek, Prof. Piotr Sankowski, Prof. Justyna Olko, and Prof. Andrzej Udalski.
In addition, on 19–20 May, the National Contact Point at NCBR invites participants to special sessions dedicated to ERC grants. On May 21, the National Center for Research and Development will host sessions dedicated to its programs and initiatives.
On 19 May, the programme will focus on Science and Groundbreaking Research. A discussion featuring a representative of the ERC Scientific Council, a Nature editor, and ERC grantees promises a unique conversation about what truly makes research groundbreaking. The day will also include expert talks showing how to build an ERC project around a strong, ambitious and original research question.
On 20 May, we invite participants to the Career Paths day, dedicated to different routes leading to ERC success. Participants will have the opportunity to hear the stories of ERC grantees and experts and to take part in a discussion on the role of track record and career development in the evaluation of ERC proposals. The programme will also conclude with a session dedicated to the LIDER UP programme as an opportunity for young researchers to develop their skills.
On 21 May, we invite participants to a programme organised by NCBR. It will include the panel “Young Leaders of Polish Science” dedicated to the LIDER programme, the presentation “Lifelong Learning” on opportunities for supporting universities through European Funds, and the panel “Student Drop-out – how can we prevent it?”, focusing on the challenges related to students leaving higher education. It will be an opportunity to discuss the development of young researchers, support opportunities for universities, and measures that may help keep students in the higher education system.
Participation in the ERC and NCBR sessions is open to all and does not require prior registration.
