Arrival to Krakow
All flights to Krakow, international and domestic from Warsaw, land at the John Paul II International Airport in Balice. All the necessary information about the airport is available in Internet at: www.lotnisko-balice.pl
Transportation from the airport:
TAXI
The simplest way is to take a taxi. The taxi stand is just in front of the exit from the terminal. The ride to the city centre should last about 20 - 25 minutes. It will probably cost 60 - 80 zlotys i.e. 15 - 20 euros depending on the location of the hotel. The fare may be paid in cash in Polish zlotys (there are cash machines and money exchange at the airport) or with a credit card.
BUSES
The other way is to take a bus, line 192 (tickets are also sold by the driver - price 3.00 zlotys) and get off after approximately 20 minutes at the hotel Cracovia. By the hotel there is a taxi stand and the fare from there to most places in the city centre should be no more than 10 zlotys or 2 - 3 euros.
TRAIN
There is a possibility to take a train from the train station near the airport (200 metres, cca. 5 minutes walking distance). The train leaves every hour from 4.34am to 0.30 am all week. The ticket costs 4.00 zlotys. It takes about 15 minutes to get by train to the Cracow Main Railway Station, which is situated in the strict city center.
