The Crystal Brussels Prize 2006

The prestigious awards "Crystal Brussels" will be distributed to the most active and successful Polish participants of FP6. The Crystal Brussels Prizes will be handed during the Framework Ball on the 16th of November 2006.

The Crystal Brussels Prize 2006 will be granted in the following six categories:
  • Universities
  • Polish Academy of Sciences
  • Research and Development Units
  • Industry
  • SMEs
  • Individual Award
In the first five awards (institutional awards) the nominations are based on the statistical analysis of participation in the FP6. The following criteria are taken into consideration: number of proposals submitted, number of proposals approved, type of projects, amount of EU co-financing, number of projects co-coordinated.

Individual award nominees are selected from the candidatures submitted according to the Rules of Procedure. The following criteria are considered: active projects participation and co-ordination, participation in Programme Committees and expert groups, contribution to promoting Research Programmes and own initiatives.

The award winners are selected by the "Crystal Brussels Prize" Chapter (appointed by the Minister of Science and Higher Education) from among the nominated institutions and persons.
