    13th Annual Conference of the European Association of Research Managers and Administrators (EARMA)

    The 13th Annual Conference of the European Association of Research Managers and Administrators (EARMA) took place this year in Poland from 29th June to 1 July 2007, at the University of Warsaw. The theme of this year's Conference was "Building the European Research Area: "The responsibilities of Research Managers".

    As a key instrument in the realization of the European Research Area, the 7th Framework Programme and its objectives featured prominently in the Conference Programme. Conference closely examined the following: - the various roles and responsibilities of Research Managers and Administrators - the skills they need to succeed - how a professional organization such as EARMA can contribute to this process.

    As the IPPT PAN (ERANIS Project Coordinator) is the Institutional Member of EARMA and its experts are very active in Project Management activities, we had faced the possibility to organize the workshop during this Conference, where invited representatives from New Member States and NIS Countries were invited to present relevant issues in FP7, their experiences, important issues but also hot problems related with management of European Projects.
