Description of proposal/expertise:

Theoretical study of the electronic structure of materials by the ab-initio
calculations of electronic band structure and related properties of crystals
using VASP, CRYSTAL’06, CRYSTAL’09, and CASTEP codes.
Experimental study of dielectric (optical) functions of solids (dielectrics and
semiconductors) using the synchrotron radiation. Study of ferroelectric
phase transitions.
