Projekt Big IoT szuka partnerów do współpracy. Właśnie ruszył nabór do pierwszego otwartego konkursu.  Jest on skierowany do małych i średnich przedsiębiorstw, uniwersytetów i instytutów badawczych, które chciałyby włączyć się do ekosystemu IoT i wspólnie korzystać z dostępnych narzędzi aby rozwijać ofertę rynku IoT.

Tworzona przez konsorcjum Big IoT otwarta platforma wraz z udostępnionymi interfejsami (API Big IoT) umożliwia łatwe tworzenie nowych, innowacyjnych rozwiązań.

Komisja Europejska właśnie opublikowała nową broszurę prezentującą projekty z obszaru ICT realizowane na zasadzie przetargów publiczno-prywatnych (instrumenty PCP i PPI).

Zapraszamy do zapoznania się z zaktualizowaną wersją. Zawiera ona przegląd realizowanych zamówień na innowacje ICT odpowiadające na zapotrzebowanie interesu publicznego w sektorach takich, jak ochrona zdrowia, opieka nad osobami starszymi, transport, energia, bezpieczeństwo, zarządzanie wodą, edukacja.

Project Ideal-ist2018 organizuje „Ideal-ist Proposal Check Event for ICT related calls in Horizon 2020″ (2017). Impreza ta ma pomóc wnioskodawcom programu Horyzont 2020 startującym w najnowszych konkursach wymagających zastosowań ICT w złożeniu wysokiej jakości wniosku projektowego. W trakcie spotkania uczestnicy będą mieli okazję poddać swój prawie ukończony wniosek ocenie doświadczonych ewaluatorów. Ich uwagi i sugestie mogą stanowić duże wsparcie, a wprowadzone poprawki przyczynią się do osiągnięcia lepszej oceny w ostatecznej ewaluacji wniosku. Tym bardziej więc zachęcamy do wzięcia udziału w tym spotkaniu.

Do udziału zapraszamy potencjalnych beneficjentów konkursów H2020 w roku 2017 powiązanych z ICT (lista konkursów i szczegóły w załączniku), którzy są w trakcie przygotowywania wniosku – w spotkaniu może brać udział koordynator oraz jeden z partnerów z konsorcjum. Każdy z wniosków poddany jest ocenie przynajmniej dwóch niezależnych ekspertów (podpisują oni klauzulę tajności – treść wniosku nie będzie rozpowszechniana) i tak jak w trakcie rzeczywistej ewaluacji przygotują oni raport oceny. Na bieżąco możliwa też będzie dyskusja i konsultacje z ekspertami i przedstawicielami europejskich punktów kontaktowych.

W tym roku spotkanie odbywa się w dwóch terminach (istnieje także możliwość połączenia zdalnego za pośrednictwem Skype):

W dniach 17-18 listopada 2016 r., odbył się w Luksemburgu dzień informacyjny dotyczący badań i innowacji ICT w przemyśle kreatywnym i obszarze dziedzictwa kulturowego. Podczas sesji plenarnej przedstawiciele Komisji Europejskiej przekazali uczestnikom informacje na temat bieżącego Programu Pracy i wytyczne dotyczące najbliższych konkursów w tym obszarze (ICT-20-2017 i CULT-COOP-09-2017). Spotkanie było także okazją do zaprezentowania pomysłów projektowych.

Zachęcamy do zapoznania się z tym materiałem.

Fed4FIRE to projekt, którego realizacja zaczęła się jeszcze w ramach 7. Programu Ramowego, udostępnia łatwo konfigurowalne środowiska testowe. Testy mogą dotyczyć różnorodnych zagadnień technologicznych, począwszy od rozwiązań w chmurze poprzez połączenia bezprzewodowe i przewodowe, sieci czujników itp.

Przeprowadź eksperyment badawczy – przetestuj swój pomysł. Właśnie został otwarty nabór do kolejnego konkursu dla eksperymentatorów „1st Fed4FIRE+ Competitive Call for Experimenters”.

Środowisko testowe Fed4FIRE+ (kontynuacja projektu) pozwala sprawdzić na szeroką skalę rozwiązania i innowacje wypracowane w laboratoriach mniejszych instytucji/firm, które nie mają na co dzień dostępu do takich infrastruktur. Zasoby Fed4FIRE+ są w pełni dostępne zdalnie, stąd jedynym wymaganiem technicznym jest dostęp do sieci.

Termin składania wniosków upływa 15 lutego 2017 r. Zanim jednak złożymy ostateczną jego wersję, niezbędne jest sprawdzenie wykonalności – wymagany jest kontakt z przedstawicielami konsorcjum Fed4FIRE (na adres contact@fed4fire.eu wysyłamy zarys konceptu) i upewnienie się, czy oferowane przez projekt środowisko testowe spełni wszelkie wymagania niezbędne do przeprowadzenia eksperymentu. Drafty wniosku do weryfikacji przyjmowane są do 8 lutego 2017 r.

W dniach 17-18 stycznia 2017 r. odbyło się w Luksemburgu spotkanie informacyjne dotyczące konkursów Big Data. Zostało ono zorganizowane przez Big Data Value Association (BDVA). BDVA to partnerstwo publiczno-prywatne, które wraz z Komisją Europejską odpowiada za przeprowadzanie konkursów Big Data PPP. W dniu informacyjnym uczestniczyło prawie 500 zainteresowanych tą tematyką.

Spotkanie, poza częścią informacyjną (prezentacja tematów konkursowych: https://ec.europa.eu/digital-single-market/en/news/information-and-networking-days-horizon-2020-big-data-public-private-partnership-topics-2017 ), było przede wszystkim okazją do zaprezentowania pomysłów projektowych, które mogą być zgłoszone w aktualnych konkursach związanych z tematyką Big Data (https://ec.europa.eu/digital-single-market/events/cf/info-day-2017-ict-14-15-16-17/stream-items.cfm?id=376 ).

Wszystkich zainteresowanych tematyką zachęcamy do zapoznania się z pomysłami i włączenia do współpracy.

Projekt Fortissimo umożliwia europejskim małym i średnim przedsiębiorstwom (MŚP) zaistnienie na rynku globalnym poprzez udostępnienie im infrastruktury HPC. Dzięki temu przedsiębiorstwa mogą testować swoje innowacyjne rozwiązania w chmurze. Aktualnie projekt Fortissimo 2 zaprasza MŚP do kolejnego konkursu.

Project Outline for an Innovative Training Network
Dublin City University

Description and Motivation:

Online sales are growing rapidly while brick and mortar companies are hit by stagnation or even diminishing returns. Europe is losing ground against the big global players from the US and Asia whereby turnover drains and jobs are axed. Traditional brick and mortar companies have particular advantages over pure online retailers (e.g. haptic of products), but fall behind in other aspects like information quality, assortment or delivery quality. Due to technological advancements shopping will look differently in 2025. New technologies including wearables, location based services and the IoT have the potential to serve as bridge builders between offline and online commerce by enabling parallel utilization of different shopping and information channels. The on-site use of these new technologies and devices at retail stores opens up novel promising opportunities. The rigor combination of online, offline and mobile channels provides manifold great potentials for those companies who are able to play a dominant role in omni-channel.

General Objective:

  • GO1: To implement an innovative interdisciplinary cross-sector Pan-European training network in order to eliminate barriers between disciplines, sectors, and countries in the field of connected retail.
  • GO2: To establish a training programme for a new generation of highly-skilled researchers by conducting comprehensive blended training that combines campus-based and industrial practice training through well-established researchers and practitioners from academia and industry. This should generate excellent career perspectives for the recruited ESRs both in the industrial and the academic sector through tailored training along individual career development plans.
  • GO3: To implement an innovative research programme to develop innovative concepts, methods and applications in the context of connected retail by conducting complementary individual research projects with each exploring a specific field of connected retail.
  • GO4: To ensure the continuation of the training on a European level via multiple training formats in the form of long-term academic training initiatives and study programmes.
  • GO5: To disseminate the accumulated knowledge to all relevant stakeholders.

Research Goals:

  • Conduction of comprehensive investigations and elaborations in no-line commerce incorporating online, offline and mobile channels along the whole customer journey with consideration of Business models, Digital marketing, Consumer behavior, Legal issues, Business processes, Logistics, Technology
  • Elaborate innovative approaches for the innovation breakthrough of no-line commerce in Europe.

Research Objectives:

  • RO1: Digitalisation of Business Models: Individual research projects shall identify ways for the successful configuration of business models in connected retail and develop a corporate foresight model for sustainable business development in connected retail.
  • RO2: Information Systems for Connected Retail Processes: Individual research projects shall evaluate opportunities of Big Data for enhancing connected retail business processes, identify challenges and develop IT architectures for the integration of retail systems in connected retail and develop omnichannel recommender systems for connected customer journeys.
  • RO3: Connected Omnichannel Retail Marketing: Individual research projects shall identify psychological determinants of dynamic channel selection in the context of connected retail, identify factors of omnichannel marketing along the customer journey in the connected retail context and develop a model for data analytics and visualisation in connected retail.
  • RO4: Omnichannel Retail Logistics: Individual research projects shall optimize retail logistics by applying physical internet principles, develop and evaluate delivery methods for the last mile using smart logistics concepts and develop methods for perishable food logistics and food information systems.
  • RO5: Connected Retail Technology: Individual research projects shall develop applications using augmented reality for enhanced in-store customer experiences and store operations, investigate controlling attentiveness in in-store retail and develop concepts and methods to integrate smart connected shopping carts with mobile payment solution in a virtual checkout.
  • RO6: Legal Regulations: An individual research project shall identify legal challenges of connected retail on the European market.

Benefits for non-academic beneficiaries:

  • ESRs are 100 % funded by the training programme for 36 months
  • During these 36 months ESRs shall work on a specific cutting edge challenge of the company in the field of no-line commerce

Proposal Outline:

The new Distributed Electric Propulsion – DEP uses a revolutionary design, generating lift within a relatively small body by employing a unique combination of lifting surfaces. This is primarily because it allows the creation of an extremely compact aerial vehicle which has Vertical Takeoff and Landing capabilities and high lifting efficiencies. DEP as a rotorless drag-reducing propulsion system can be deployed in a versatile hover-capable flying aircraft to lift heavy loads efficiently. Scalable with a combination of stable overlapping flight roles and modes from horizontal take-off through assisted low speed and stationary hover through to high speed winged flight and back. DEP mainly employs a multiple ducted fan arrangement and new ducted fan configuration creating a very efficient air distribution

This innovative DEP concept allows building some aircraft configurations that are also news. As a pilotless drone or replacement for ageing S/VTOL airframes, this multi-role propulsion system and application provides enhanced operational versatility, stability, scalability, handling, fuel-efficiency, payload capacity, performance, reduced noise and increased safety potential. Other benefits are simplified mechanical construction over helicopter with multiple-redundant array of engines with independent throttling for directional thrust, feathering on failure and controlled vertical cushion decay to produce a soft landing. Blade-shedding will not cause catastrophic power-loss from multi-engined array

The aim of the project is to develop a online application for users from the European Union and the CIS on the questions of renewable energy. The project is based on the possibilities of Google Classroom, where in the form of Big Data gather all the available training courses, scientific publications and articles, studies and other materials on this topic.

The user receives a response to its request, and also set of courses in the relevant subject and other materials for further development. Selection of materials is carried out by means of the application.

By optimizing the search process, transfer and analysis of information we want to create an accessible platform for raising awareness and interest in clean energy. The platform is designed for the use of tablets and mobile devices and optimized for them.

Platform integrated into social networks such as Facebook, Linked In, Twitter, in addition to finding and communicating with „like-minded people” – people with similar queries ensures the availability of the received information. In addition, the user can contact the team of working online in these networks specialists and get a personal answer to question that will allow to personalize the user’s query and to generate the most accurate answer.

The platform presents the work of experts from all world, research from various Universities, the materials of the European specialized media and other representatives of the content industry, covering news in the field of renewable energy. This will expand opportunities for cooperation of leading representatives of science, business and media in the renewable energy sector in Europe and beyond; increase the effectiveness of their work and, thanks to the interactive capabilities of the platform will be the basis for interdisciplinary communication and interaction of representatives of the content industry in clean energy.

Our project will make available online lectures, live broadcasts from the construction, to listen to the recordings and to present various meetings of European and partner countries. This will make the team of specialists, translating materials into other languages, add subtitles to video materials. This practice will allow users to be informed of the latest events will further enhance their awareness and will work with those for whom unacceptable printed information. similar result of implementing the integration of our application in environments such as Periscope and Youtube.

SC1-PM-02-2017: New concepts in patient stratification

Specific Challenge: Despite the major advances in understanding disease in the post-genomic era, still a majority of all drugs are effective in only a limited number of patients. From a clinical perspective, implementing knowledge-based decisions on what therapeutics to use for which patients and, if relevant, in which combinations, are extremely challenging. The aspiration to provide more effective therapeutic interventions tailored to the individual or groups of individuals with common molecular phenotypes remains unfulfilled because of the variable response of individuals to such interventions.

The proposed project will research and deliver new methods for disease-mechanism based patient stratification to address the needs for stratified or personalized therapeutic interventions. The proposals will develop new methods and implement them by integrated software system that will provide solutions to analyze multidimensional and longitudinal data from multiple sources, using areas like pharmacogenomics, systems biomedicine, big data analysis and computational modeling.

The new methods will support the development of improved targeted therapies, optimizing the intervention to individual patients, thus facilitating achievement of a greater success in treating or curing the patients.

The system and the process that will demonstrate new concepts of stratification will be validated in pre-clinical and clinical studies in 3 different locations, taking into account sex and gender differences. The system will be focused on addressing 3 complex diseases having high prevalence and possibly will also have high economic impact.

In the case of success system can in future be gradually improved by SMEs participated in the project by future developments to address main complex diseases.

The system design and implementation will comply with the regulatory aspects needed for clinical practice. The companies and SMEs participated in the system development will benefit from detailed plans for commercialization opportunities.

Proposal Outline:

Flying drones promise to replace many civilian services currently requiring humans by means of robots performing product delivery, agricultural monitoring, inspections and maintenance, damage assessments. For this vision to be concretized, drones need to be safe, reliable, available on demand and most importantly fully automatic. This revolution is facing three challenges:

1. the design of services that are possible to be executed within the regulations;

2. the development of landing stations that the drones can exploit as docking point to recharge their batteries;

3. the development of a master-control software that deals with coordination and optimization of the flights and operations of the drones performing the service.

The „Persistent Imaging with Robotized Drones” project (PIRD) is addressing the key technical challenges that all drone automation companies are facing today and that, if solved, will open the drone services market to existing and new industries. PIRD innovation will solve these challenges by the use of a platform managing transparently operations with small multi-copters and a network of landing/recharge stations. The PIRD system controls navigation, information feeds from the drones, and the operation strategy in a fault tolerant and law-abiding way. The software is able to program the flight plan best for each individual drone taking into account dynamically its role in the overall mission.  The hardware ensures a permanent operation of the drones despite the limited autonomy and range of drones. The development of this innovation will allow for the first time to coordinate and manage in a fully automated way fleets of drones.

By integrating together the evolution of the prototypes developed during phase 1 of the SME instrument, the consortium intends to commercialize, in the short term, a modular platform that in the future can be deployed beyond industry 4.0 applications, especially in urban settings. This platform should provide an extremely flexible array of solutions that, thanks to the coordinated management of many available drones, can run either continuously (24/7), only at specific hours, or to be activated if triggered by specific events, such as alarms or natural events. The operators in the control room upgraded by the PIRD system will effectively have „eyes in the sky”, which will offer new real-time useful information, in a fully automatic way, with none or very little human supervision required.

The final business goal at the end of the SME instrument phase 2 is to tackle the global scene using these early achievements as a springboard for market penetration and to extend the viability of multiple innovative technological solutions to other potential fields of applications, such as

the safeguard of the national heritage (inspection of monuments or archaeological sites, extended photographic campaigns, etc.), the intervention in post-disaster scenarios (accidents, fires, earthquakes, landslides, etc.), the protection of the environment, and so on – contexts that could raise the interest of major institutional partners.

Proposal Outline:

EPORE aims at supporting clearly defined groups of vulnerable consumers in tackling fuel poverty by facilitating more sustainable energy behavior and choices in their everyday life. It aims also at achieving structural changes of national policies to specifically address fuel poverty and include the transfer of best practices for the active engagement of vulnerable consumers.

EPORE will improve energy efficiency programmes especially in Eastern European countries, where there is a large stock of Soviet-era communal buildings / apartment blocks. Many buildings fall into the lowest energy efficiency categories and by implementing simple and cheap measures substantial long term savings can be achieved. In the Baltic countries, many buildings are supplied by district heating systems. It has long been recognised that such building stock often suffers from poor energy efficiency, and exacerbates problems of energy affordability.

Project outputs: 1) creation of new working positions called „energy scanners”, lower educated and long-term unemployed people trained to undertake an energy screening of the energy situation of a household, in whihc the household receive energy tips and energy saving devices, 2) guideline for addressing fuel poverty definition, condition and transfer of best practice (delivered to national policy-makers), 3) manual with tailored scheme of incentives in three specific selected region, 4) pilot actions in the three areas and condition/improvements monitoring after 12 months. EPORE target groups: 1) vulneranle consumers in Eastern Europe affected by energy poverty, 2) national policy-makers in the pilot actions area. Project results: 1) definition and characterization of energy poverty issue in the consortium countries, 2) raising awareness about energy efficiency and energy poverty  thanks to the training and the creation of „energy scanners”, 3) definition and customization of territorial scheme of incentives in the consortium regions, 4) implementation of the pilot actions, 5) capitalization, communication and dissemination.

MIPCI project aims to increase the security level in Critical Infrastructures of utilities in water systems. The purpose of this project is developing an integral platform that protects the infrastructures from both physical and cyber-attacks. Furthermore, if an attack eventually occurs, the system makes the operator acts consequently. A whole incident prevention system IPS (based on honeynets and automatic created rules) and automatic access control subsystem, belonging to the prevention level, are integrated in the system. The CCTV subsystem, radars against aerial attacks and an incident prevention system IPS, belonging to the detection level, are integrated too. Both prevention and detection levels are supervised by a system developed from a SCADA and a Physical Security Incident Manager. In case of attack, the system executes an automatic protocol; the European guidelines about attack responses are considered in the protocol. In order to warn the public in the vicinity,  warning software is managed by the tool, alerting selected people in the affected area. Also, geolocation of emergency service staff is controlled through the manager in order to protect and guide them during the mitigation actions.

A Spanish SME specialized on the provisioning of advanced solutions for IT services, is interested in building a consortium and submit a project under the call DS-02-2016 of Horizon 2020 (with deadline 28th August 2016).

Since the attacks (criminal, cybernetics, etc.) are becoming more sophisticated and massive, it is necessary to develop the appropriate security tools and provide specific resources for a continuous updating of defenses against them. This project aims to develop a technology for self-protection of files (documents, tools, etc.). Usually, the authorized users for using a file (or document) could be considered unreliable. You need to trust them about how they are going to use the file and therefore you leave the security of the document in the hands of those authorized users.

The protection technology that will be addressed in this project will seek to overcome the limitations of the SoA and it will become an everyday tool for SME´s, local public administrations and individuals on the daily basis, as it is intended as a very low cost compared to current solutions that require installation of hardware and software infrastructure within the enterprise IT structure.

Our project is mainly focused on the security for SMEs and local public administrations, but the individuals can also use our solution because they have threats as the other end users, so they need a protection for their documents.

The focus of the RUR-09 call is identifying innovative business models that are developing in rural areas, have significant potential to create added value, social cohesion and jobs and are likely to be up scaled to or replicated in other areas. Proposals in the context of this call should produce practical and business-oriented tools such as for example a collection of business cases for new entrepreneurs. Communication and transnational approach are two crucial factors.

LIVERUR aims at expanding an extremely innovative business model called Living Labs among the rural regions. Living labs are user-centred, open-innovation ecosystems often operating in a territorial context, integrating concurrent research and innovation process within a public-private partnership. The basis for the strategic development of a rural Living Lab is in establishing a sustainable stakeholder partnership; users, policy-makers, companies, researchers enter into agreements on the basis of which they may engage in longer term collaboration. However, a successful Living lab business design can be expected to be highly affected by the specific context of the Living Lab rural environment and by its specific objectives and ambitions. LIVERUR project identifies Living Labs as innovative business models that are currently developing in rural areas, and it will undertake socio-economic analysis to identify, describe and benchmark differences between the new Living Lab approach and more entrepreneurial traditional approaches (mass production, development of prices, optimising the cost structures with the enterprises, rationalisation). LIVERUR project pays particular attention to Living Labs, since they foster a more sustainable mobilisation of resources, improved cooperation between operators along the value chain and lead to new services. Living Lab utilizes the open innovation concept in a wider sense, with success/failure rate determined by empirically based research key factors. Since there is still a lack of empirically grounded studies, the short term objective of LIVERUR is to improve knowledge of business models growing in rural areas, including a through understanding of their potential. In the long term the project will increase the potential for rural economic diversification.

  1. Extensive report on the comparison between entrepreneurial traditional approaches, advantages and disadvantages, and the new revolutionary approach of Living Labs

Komisja Europejska pokryje koszty transportu 11 osobom z Polski, które chciałyby uczestniczyć w ICT Proposers’ Day 2016.

Największe spotkanie informacyjno-brokerskie w obszarze ICT- ICT Proposers‚ Day 2016 odbędzie się w dniach 26-27 września, w Bratysławie. Spotkanie organizuje Komisja Europejska we współpracy z sieciami NCP i EEN. Podczas niego zostaną omówione tematy nadchodzących konkursów związanych z ICT w programie Horyzont 2020.

ICT Proposers’ Day 2016 będzie także okazją do spotkania potencjalnych partnerów do projektów składanych w obszarze ICT i w pozostałych obszarach tematycznych programu Horyzont 2020, gdzie kluczowe jest zastosowanie technologii ICT. Podczas sesji networkingowych będzie możliwość prezentacji organizacji, obszarów badawczych i pomysłów projektowych oraz zapoznania się z pomysłami innych uczestników spotkania, a tym samym nawiązania bezpośrednich kontaktów pod przyszłą współpracę.

Podobnie jak w poprzednich latach, Komisja Europejska sfinansuje podróż (wyłącznie koszty transportu) naukowcom i przedsiębiorcom z tzw. nowych krajów członkowskich.

Zasady dofinansowania określone przez KE:

    • koszty transportu: przejazd pociągiem (pierwsza klasa) lub przelot samolotem (klasa ekonomiczna); nie przewiduje się zwrotu kosztów w przypadku przejazdu samochodem, autobusem czy taksówką;
    • agencja turystyczna obsługująca KE skontaktuje się z każdym wybranym uczestnikiem indywidualnie w celu uzgodnienia szczegółów przejazdu. Agencja będzie rezerwowała i opłacała bilety na uzgodnionej z uczestnikiem trasie;
    • wybrane osoby nie mogą we własnym zakresie ani rezerwować ani też opłacać biletów za przejazd, ponieważ Komisja Europejska nie będzie dokonywała zwrotów poniesionych kosztów;
    • w przypadku rezygnacji z udziału lub zamiany zaproszonej osoby należy odpowiednio wcześniej powiadomić KE za pośrednictwem eksperta z Krajowego Punktu Kontaktowego Programów Badawczych UE;
    • zmiany po dokonaniu rezerwacji i wykupieniu biletów (zwłaszcza na samolot) nie będą możliwe.

„Europe’s SMEs, local public administration and citizens face particular challenges in addressing basic cyber security threats. HORIZON 2020 – Work Programme 2016 – 2017 Secure societies – Protecting freedom and security of Europe and its citizens On one hand, in the case of SMEs and local public administration, their size and budgetary constraints often precludes them from putting in place highly granular organisational structures, retaining dedicated information security personnel and making significant investments in cybersecurity products or services.”

To answer this challenge it is proposed to evaluate  Sentrycs Data is Software-as-a-Service for SMEs. This will  enable SMEs to share a file, execute transaction or sign a contract, securely and confidentially, with anyone in the world, while satisfying data compliance requirements.Sentrycs Data is SaaS , using desktop-based Control Panel , enabling Online Data Privacy and Data Integrity , specifically targeted for SMEs and individuals , requiring zero integration with any Infrastructure. Proposal Outline:

5G Ultra reliable low-latency device-to-device (D2D) communication

is strongly demanded in vertical markets like industry 4.0 or intelligent transportation systems (ITS) with applications such as:

  1. Replacement of cable connections to mobile actuators or sensor in industrial cyber physical system (CPS), and
  2. for the provisioning of redundant sensor information (radar, optical, etc.) for autonomous vehicles to improve road safety.

In both cases harsh radio propagation environments lead to non-stationary fading processes that have a strong impact on the reliability and latency provided by the wireless communication link. The low-latency requirement is an important aspect that is different from other machine-type communications (MTC) link requirements.

Work packages:

  1. Measurement, modeling and emulation of non-stationary multi-node communication channels in the targeted 5G frequency bands
  2. Low-latency physical layer modulation formats for low packet error rates at short packet lengths (exploiting multiple diversity sources).
  3. System-level test methodologies using the position of vehicles or machines for wireless control loops (autonomous driving, automation and control in factories).
  4. SDR testbed implementations (physical layer wave forms and MAC algorithms)
  5. Protocols for low-latency operation in 5G networks (distributed MAC within a local context supervised by the 5G network)

The project idea refers to Strand 1 – wireless access and radio network architecture/technologies

Common notion of the project
For intellectual property reasons we can not give more details of the project that is already quite advanced in its drafting. In any case, it is framed within the specific challenge:
Europe’s SMEs, local public administration and citizens face particular challenges in addressing basic cyber security threats.
On one hand, in the case of SMEs and local public administration, their size and budgetary constraints often precludes them from putting in place highly granular organisational structures, retaining dedicated information security personnel and making significant investments in cybersecurity products or services.
Individuals, constantly portrayed as the „weakest link” face the daunting task of having to constantly adapt their behaviour at home and in the workplace and the way they use both their personal or work-related IT equipment and devices in order to avoid falling prey to the latest threats and techniques that malicious actors leverage against them.
Moreover, whether addressing SMEs, local public administrations or individuals, few cyber security solutions have been designed with the human factor in mind and therefore present severe limitations in their usability which hampers proper decision making and adequate usage.
This project is perfectly oriented to the scope and expected impact of the call, we include a validate through extensive end-user feedback and participation.

Develop innovative solutions with a high degree of usability and automation while ensuring that the end-users retain an adequate degree of cyber situational awareness and control.
Validate work through extensive end-user feedback and participation.
Include public security end-users and/or private end users.

ICT Proposers’ Day to największe z organizowanych rokrocznie przez Komisję Europejską wydarzenie dotyczące ICT i szerokiego zastosowania tych technologii.

Celem ICT Proposers’ Day jest promowanie badań i innowacji w dziedzinie technologii informacyjno-komunikacyjnych i rozwijanie ich w ramach programu Horyzont 2020. Na wydarzenie to składają się spotkania z przedstawicielami KE, którzy poinformują o najnowszych konkursach – poznamy szczegóły Programu Pracy na rok 2017.

ICT Proposers’ Day 2016 to okazja do spotkania się z naukowcami i przedsiębiorcami z innych krajów UE i możliwość omówienia pomysłów na projekty.
