| Description | Project Information:
Activity of the SSH work Programme concerned : Topic SSH-2010-1.1.1
“Demand-driven research and innovation policies for growth, welfare and wellbeing”
Field of expertise related to the topic:
Experience in evaluation and research priority setting on a national and international level, regional competence,
several activities concerning the governance of STI
Potential Contribution to the project:
The impact and synergies in a broader demand2.0 sense on strategic intelligence can be studied regards a
broad spectrum of concerned societal groups. A study on the Global Goals (policies studied in running INCO
FP7 projects) might be a starting point for further reflection in the field of environmental technologies.
The ZSI can contribute to all forms of dialogue as requested in the call, methodological inputs concerning public
involvement in priority setting and regional expertise (see partner profile) can be contributed, this question arises
from the fact that demand and a demand2.0 has regional characteristics in specific settings. The ZSI can also
provide expertise to provide tools and methodology for a dialogue towards a broader demand2.0 definition.
Role in the project:
- Research;
- Dissemination;
- Other: Dialogue, Governan.
Project idea:
The topic on demand driven policy rises the question of a redefinition towards a demand2.0, with new
governance tools and involving in the definition also societies expectations on public policy. The idea of a
broader -European- demand driven policy and funding based on public procurement and by other means
requires new tools of communication with the public.
The arising knowledge dynamics of a new demand2.0 covering societal processes requires new forms of
governance contributing to the identification of new lead markets on national, regional, european level and from a
global point of view. This might be applied to the Technology plattforms and converging technologies and in
particular regards future lead markets
